Takefu Suminagashi is a Japanese layered steel consisting of 11 layers per side of low carbon non hardenable contrasting steels with a 1.5mm thick layer of Japanese
'White Paper" steel in the center. White Paper steel is one of the best of the Japanese knife steels.
This dagger uses the Takefu as the blade steel then adds a set of gorgeous Amber Stag handles on to the tapered tang. The blade is deep hollw ground using a 2 inch grinding wheel and then lightly etched to bring out the layers. Over time the layers will become even more pronounced. The knife is 10 inches overall length and comes with the custom leather sheath as shown.
