Gembone Pen Knife

Here is a little pen knife that I just finished. The knife is 3 1/2" closed, 6 3/8" open. It weighs in at a measly 1.9 oz, or 54 grams.

The blade is Damasteel with a CPM154 back spring. The body with integral bolsters and end caps is hardened 416.

The covers, now here is the most interesting part. The covers are fossilized dinosaur bone marrow, also known as gembone. Amazingly rare and beautiful. It is a rock so needs lapidary equipment to work is and polish it. So lots of diamond wheels, belts and polishing compound. But oh so worth the effort.
